A Vietnamese-American living in Sacramento, J.C. Tran is currently one of the most consistently successful players on the world poker circuit. After starting out by playing in local card rooms, he has become well-respected throughout the poker world. J.C. has topped various poker tournaments and has total winnings of around $8 million to date. His biggest career win came in 2007 when he placed second and cashed in for $1,177,010 at the L.A. Poker Classic.

  • Sickest bad beat story: It has to be during the World Poker Tour championship event at the L.A. Poker Classic. I was on the Final Table with 5 players remaining. I went all in pre-flop with As Ac against Alan Goehring’s 5c 5s. The flop showed all spades, the turn was a blank but I was rivered with the 5d.
